Online Information Marketing

(excerpted from our Internet Information Marketing Course)

You want to be an Internet Marketer and market something online, but aren't sure what it should be. Internet marketing is all about having a product that you know people already want, and packaging it so they will want to buy it from YOU. So what product will you market?

Keep in mind what the Internet is and what it's best suited for...INFORMATION. Plain and simple, it's information...nothing more and nothing less. We've gotten so used to using the Internet in our everyday lives that we kind of forget that it's not a real thing, but merely an abstract set of ideas. And now we can't imagine living without it. Actually, when you get right down to it, nobody really NEEDS the Internet to live, it just makes life a whole lot easier and more efficient. But it really doesn't matter if we actually need it or not, it's such a part of lives now that its not going away...and that is the best news you ever heard!

And why is that the best news you ever heard? Because the Internet has now become the first place that most people turn to when they want to know about something. Pick a topic. Anything. No matter what topic you choose, there's bound to be a web page somewhere with some relevant info on your topic. So, since the Internet is the FIRST place people turn to for info, that makes it the IDEAL place for an information marketer to set up shop.

An "Information Marketer"? Yep, that's right. How and what kind of information would people be willing to pay for online? The same kind of information that people have ALWAYS marketed. Here's a little exercise for you. Go to a second-hand book or magazine store, or a garage sale, or any place where you can buy old magazines. Find an old copy "Popular Mechanics", "Popular Science", or "Mechanix Illustrated". Or any type of general-info DIY magazine from at least 15 years ago. Heck, if you're old enough like me, you might actually still have an old copy of one of those magazines in a box somewhere. Open it up to the back, in the classified section, and look at all of those great ads back there. Many of the same ads would appear in those magazines year after year, sometimes for decades. Remember the "Bartlett Flying Saucer", or the plans to build your own satellite or cable TV descrambler? (Yes, you can tell what kind of a geek I was growing up, can't you.)

The people placing those ads were no different than you or me, except that they had found a topic that people were interested in and found a way to sell that information to others. Usually it was self-published...meaning that what you received in the mail wasn't some slick glossy publication, but rather a simple collection of type-written pages copied off on the local copy machine. But it really didn't matter what the pages looked like, or how well they were formatted because it was the INFORMATION contained in the pages that people were after.

Look again at your old magazine...notice that the biggest classified section in any of those magazines was the section called MONEYMAKING OPPORTUNITIES. People have always wanted to make more money for themselves and their families. If you had experience in some kind of a part-time moneymaking venture, people would gladly pay you for that information. And it's certainly no different today. If you have any kind of knowledge about any type of business or money making idea, people will flock to buy that information from you, IF you know how and where to sell it.

In a way, the Internet is really no different than any of those old magazines. It's like a big classified section in the biggest magazine that there ever was, and your website is like a very complicated classified ad. Sure, it may be a little harder to find your website than it would be to find a classified in the back of your favorite magazine, but there are many ways to make website (and hence your information products) "findable".

We'll stop here...but be sure to join us in the next article as we explore in more detail about how YOU can create your own information products and market them online.

Success To You!

Mountain - Greatest Hits Live

Mountain - Greatest Hits Live
King Biscuit Flower Hour Records Presents Mountain's Greatest Hits Live, their only live 'Greatest Hits' collection. Recorded during the renowned reunion tour on November 3, 1974 at the Capital Theater in Passaic, New Jersey. 11 tracks including 'You Better Believe It', 'Theme For An Imaginary Western' & a bonus interview. Notes include never-before-seen period photos. A 2000 release.

Customer Review: Playing is not that great

The sound is very good

Unfortunately, the playing of Mountain's best known songs like Mississippi Queen, Never in my life, Theme for an imaginary western etc is horrible (as compared to other live albums such as Flowers of Evil & The Road goes on Forever)

To quote Leslie West on the interview included in this cd, "Felix (Pappalardi) must of sold us some bad coke that night".

The only reason I could see someone buying this cd is to hear previously non live songs like You better believe, Get out of my life woman and Its for you - which quite well played.

I agree with past reviews that Felix's bass is barely audible and Leslie West's guitar playing in between the pure sweet simple tone of the early 70's and his dry heavy metal tone of the mid 80's

Customer Review: Avalanche - Burial, That Is

The recordist and mixer should be tried by jury for attempted suffocation. Of course, it could be justifiable as a crime of passion - here at last is a performance enough to make the absolutely lame "Twin Peaks" performances of the same era seem transcendental. (If you remember Jimmy Page taking legal action to keep CBS from keeping "Live Yardbirds with Jimmy Page" off the market, think real hard: Page had problems with the recording and a missing amp bottom but the performance on that album was still worthy of the Yardbirds name, even if Keith Relf did have to force himself to sing up in the middle of a drug-weighted haze. Leslie West and Corky Laing should do likewise with this album, on the grounds that hindsight instructs them they should have been royally embarrassed after having played such a reputation-sullying concert.) Saying Mountain deserves better would be stating only the annoyingly obvious. P.S. The only reason I give even one star is because this program won't let me give that line a blank.

Ge Bluetooth Headset Replaceable Aaa Battery

Ge Bluetooth Headset Replaceable Aaa Battery
Marketing description is not available.

Customer Review: What DOESN'T GE do well???

General Electric...I don't know about the rest of you, but upon seeing who made this item I thought to myself 'Really? They make cellphone accessories now?'

Yep. They do. And they make them well.

But not only that, they perfected a concept I'd always been hoping somebody would - a bluetooth headset that allows you to simply swap out AAA batteries at will. Who wants to be talking on their bluetooth and suddenly the thing just dies on them in the middle of a conversation? Well...now you need to charge it until eternity. And, of course, the day finally comes when the piece of trash battery included with the headset only holds about 5 minutes of juice. Who wants that? With the AAA battery, it never wears out, it's not all that heavy, and you can replace it whenever you like in about 5-10 seconds. If you're really good you can do it one-handed while driving!

When I said GE perfected this concept, I was serious. The only other AAA-operated bluetooth headsets were both made by Motorola (there's one that runs on a AAAA battery, but I don't feel like spending $15 on a battery that's weaker than a AAA, nor do I feel like smashing open a bunch of 9V batteries to GET AAAA batteries). I own both of the Motorola versions, the H300 and the HS805. The H300 was their first attempt, and it's alright. I could run with it on, but it was incredibly quiet, the earpiece didn't insert into the ear, and it had a tendency to echo the other person's voice back to them. The HS805, the so-called 'upgraded version' of the H300, was simply a piece of junk. It had all the problems of the H300, plus it would fall off my ear if a gust of wind passed nearby. It had all of the problems of the H300 and no improvements whatsoever.

Enter General Electric. This bluetooth you're looking at right now - do you know how many of those problems it has? None. Zero. Zip. And using a long-life AAA battery, it has a MONTH of standby time. 30 DAYS. I hardly need to keep AAA batteries in my car with a life like that, but I do anyway. No echo, no discomfort, yesterday I ran 6 miles with it on and only needed to adjust it 3 times when it wiggled itself loose. It inserts into your ear so you can hear it extra well, and the earpiece is vertically adjustable to your ear's length. The earpiece also allows the weight of the device to be shared between your ear canal and the top of your ear. My ONLY complaint on this device is that it seems to have a difficult time filtering out wind. So outdoor use requires you to face a different direction and while driving you need to point your A/C vent away from your face. Not even a big enough deal to warrant 4 stars, in my book.

The best bluetooth on the market, IMHO, is less than $35. The choice is clear. Hope you all enjoyed this...

Communication is needed in all walks of life. This is the reason for us to write this article on ppc marketing; to communicate it's meaning to everyone.

A Featured ppc marketing Article
Is Internet Marketing for Everybody ?

Everyone wants to have an easy life, with no worries, time to spend with their family and friends, only working a few hours per week. Right? Well, there are a lot of people out there who have achieved this dream, through Internet Marketing and are now trying to pass on their knowledge to other hopefuls.

People everyday search for ways to make their lives easier: they read newspapers looking for opportunities, buy business magazines to get new ideas, or search the internet for information on how to make an easy living.

You may have noticed that many sites out there, belonging to people who are successful on the internet claim that they can teach anybody who wants to learn how to make easy money with their programs. They even guarantee that by following their instructions step by step you too will earn lots of money, working very little.

But if making money on the internet is so easy, then why 90% of the people who buy these programs fail?
Well, some will say that a lot of programs out there are scams and that is the reason of their failure. This is one of the reasons, yes, but not the main one.

Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there but at the same time there are many legitimate programs which people buy and still fail. The reason is very simple: making money on the internet can technically be achieved by anybody, but practically things stand a little different. When one buys a get rich quick program he has this idea that by reading that book he will find out a magic formula which will enable him to earn lots of money with very little work.

But by the time he finishes reading he realizes that he doesn't understand half of what the book is about and throws it away without trying to understand or apply the techniques mentioned in it. He will then start from scratch by looking for other money making programs. See the flaw here?

This person will buy lots of programs until he will finally give up on trying to make money on the internet thus never achieving his dream-financial freedom.

It's true, a lot of money can be made on the internet but only if you have the right mentality. You can't make money easy, without working, without investing, without giving all you can to make your business work.

If you really want to make good money on the internet, then you should know that your path to financial freedom will not be a walk in the park.

My advice to you if you choose to be an internet marketer, is never give up if things seem complicated, don't panic if you see that at the beginning you have no sales, don't invest too much from the start- make every step slowly but surely ! Read as much as you can, try to learn from others experience, don't jump into this business not knowing how to handle it. Think about it...

To your Success,

The Marketing Miracle

Marketing strategies are very important to every business, large and small. I've seen a lot of businesses in my time take almost a cavalier attitude toward marketing. As if they say to themselves "Ok, I have to advertise. Here is some money let me know how it goes." I assure you there is or should be more to it than that. People today are always looking for the quick fix, the instant gratification. I see it all to often as I am sure you have. The post in the blah blah forums asking "What is the best way to advertise". I do have the answer. Are you ready. The answer is........It depends. It depends on who your market is. What age group are you targeting? What demographic are you stalking? If you can answer these questions you are on the right track for success. The answer is not a simple one. Most often the answer is a medley of different answers and quite often one that nobody hasn't thought of yet.
When advertising, never do it out of emotion. When starting an advertising campaign make sure it can be tracked. Weather you pay for it or not, if you can't track it, your wasting your time and or money. Lets say you want to start an opt-in e-mail campaign. You send out 300,000 e-mails. You get 3000 responses(by the way, that is extremely good). Where did the they come from. Why didn't they or did they buy? If you can learn something from it that makes the next campaign better it is not a failure. By constantly analyzing and readjusting your campaigns, you can zero in on the most effective form of advertising possible for your specific business. In the words of Colin Powell, "There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure."
Most hosting companies today offer web site analysis software. Use it! I can not stress this enough. Its amazing to me how many webmasters don't know what there highest traffic days are. How many unique visitors are you getting? What is the most popular page on your web site? What is the least? What time of day does the bulk of your visitors show? There is so much useful information that can be harvested from these programs. I had a friend of mine come to me and asked for my help. He was getting a lot of visitors to his site but they were leaving and not buying. He did know that but he should have dug deeper. After reviewing his site statistic reports I noticed that a lot of shopping carts were being abandoned. This isn't really all that uncommon accept for the fact that 90% were being abandoned at a specific point in the check out process. I ran through the check out process myself and discovered that selecting payment page was very confusing. I let him know about it. After fixing the issue his sales went up 150%. That's huge! How much would you pay to increase your business 150%? This is one of many examples of the potential benefits of knowing the visitor flow and behavior of your site.
Don't let your ego get in the way. Don't get dragged into an advertising war with a competitor. Its human nature to be competitive and that isn't necessarily a bad thing but it can turn into a disaster if it gets the best of you. Just take a look at Google Adwords. I've seen certain search terms as high as $3000.00. I've seen businesses fold partly due to there advertising budget that had gotten out of control.
Always have a plan. Always know were you are going, were you are now, and were you have been. If you follow these simple guidelines, success is just a matter of time.

Yardstyle Marketing

Yardstyle Marketing

 by: Nicholas Dixon

It is just crazy. Every time I open my mouth to talk about Internet marketing, it is like I am speaking a foreign language to my audience. My local audience that is.

Here in my country of Jamaica, the average person does not even know how to send an email. Ezines, search engines, optimization and the like are non-existent to the ordinary man on the street.

Some people even look at me as a genius for knowing how to create, design and market a website. What they dont realize is that the whole process is not as complex as they might think. Anyone of them can learn to do the same thing as long as they apply themselves to the situation.

At one time, I did not even know how to turn on a computer. The very first time I saw what HTML looked like I was stunned. How could I learn to do that was the question on my mind because it look like something only geeks could do.

But I was wrong. Most persons working online are plain ordinary people. They just saw an opportunity and decided to go after it. And that could be anyone even you.

Since being online, I have learnt and done things that even surprise me. Building a website, optimization, marketing, writing articles and ezine publishing were totally unknown to me. But I realized that in order to make it one day, I would have to learn as much as possible.

And what many people dont realize is that it does not have to cost you a ton of money. Most of my knowledge has been garnered from doing lots of research and reading. There are countless free resources available online that you can use to build up your knowledge base. The best part about it is that it costs you nothing but some of your time.

Each day I tell people about the Internet and the wonderful opportunities it presents to the ordinary man. What I am not going to tell them is that it is an easy road. Building a business online or offline is similar and does require the necessary attributes to become successful.

Look at me. I have done Internet marketing for several years without a computer, credit card and the bare essentials. But that is not going to stop me from trying. And neither should you.
