Tips on Understanding the Power of Network Marketing

Network Marketing is a powerful tool.

The wealthiest people in the world and Network Marketers know the secret to creating true wealth. They have been focusing on it for hundreds of years. They understand the difference between linear and recurring income.

Recurring income is when one performs the work just once and gets paid over and over again. An example would be a rock star, best-selling author, inventor, actor, commercial real estate developer and Network Marketer. These folks have done the job once and will get paid over and over again. Recurring income is building something that will keep churning out the income, whether one managing it or not.

Linear income is when one trades time for money. Most people have been trained to work for someone else. They work for wages. When they stop working, their paycheck stops. Linear income only continues as long as one continues to work.

The best way to find out if you have recurring income is to ask yourself, 'while I'm sleeping tonight, will I be making money?'

Given a choice, which would you rather do: work hard and get paid only once or work hard once and get paid continuously?

A good job and a secure retirement are a myth in today's world. Most people say they can live off of $5,000 a month of income. Yet sadly, they lack a plan for retirement.

It would take $1.6 million in the bank today for you to earn $5,300 of interest (at 4%) every month. Or you could save $400,000 every year for 5 years to collect $5,300 of interest every month.

Is this an option for you?

What does it take to be a movie star, best-selling author or songwriter? There are experts in the field to guide you if that is want you want.

What does it takes to do Network Marketing? Will it be easy? Do you need a lot of money or education?

Network Marketing is not a quick easy scheme to riches. It is work. But if you have a burning desire, if you have strong work ethics and if you are coachable you can have the life of your dreams.

Network Marketing is a way to create recurring income. Diving into a recurring income opportunity can be costly and painful. But knowing how the Network Marketing business works can save you lot of money and frustration.

Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman (USB/PS/2)

Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman (USB/PS/2)
Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan - This comfortable mousing device is perfect for the basic to professional user. The large trackball & ergonomic design makes it a breeze for right-handed individuals to mouse with precision. Optical technology is virtually maintenance-free, helping to keep the trackball extremely accurate over a long period of time. And how can you beat the freedom of cordless operation? Never again will you be a slave to the cable! Uses USB or PS/2 interfaces Smart power management keeps the battery working for months Forward & Back Buttons Powered by AA batteries which are included Buttons are programmable with the included MouseWare software

Customer Review: too big - not ergonomic for medium hands

I bought this to try and help reduce arm/shoulder pain associated with using a mouse constantly at work. This might be great for a guy with large hands, but as a female with medium hands (wear large size in isotoner gloves) it is way too big.

The way your hand rests on the mouse, I kept accidentally clicking the right mouse button.

Few people just use a mouse to scroll around without clicking. Since carpal tunnel usually makes your thumb and first finger hurt, constantly clicking with your thumb is not too good of an idea. My hand hurt worse in 30 minutes of use than with the regular cheap mouse.

I'm returning this and trying something else. I think a trackball that uses your thumb to move the ball would be less hand stressful than this.

Customer Review: comfortable mouse does it all

This cordless optical mouse is a great time saver for anyone who spends a lot of time creating presentations or transferring data between applications. You can program the extra buttons so that you never have to take your hand off the mouse to cut and paste data, graphs, pictures, etc.

I find this configuration where the trackball is controlled with the fingers more comfortable and easier to control than the ones that use the thumb. The scroll bar and paging buttons are very convenient for surfing the web or large documents. And finally, I appreciate the way it stays put. Lighter weight mice slip on a tilted keyboard tray when you let go of them or slide around while you're trying to use them. This one always stays in the same spot so my hand goes right back to it every time without fumbling for it.

It does take a bit of getting used to and other people tend to freak out if they try to use my computer. But it's well worth the effort to get used to - this is my second one and I didn't even consider getting a different design.

Customer Review: Comfortable, well designed mouse but some flaws hinder it's potential

I've had this mouse about a month now. I'll try and point out some things I feel other people have missed.

I should start with a short description of how my computer is set up on my desk, since a lot of people leave that out. I've got my tower on the left of a wooden desk and it's roughly 3ft away from where my mouse is located to the right. I've got a Netgear WNR854T Wireless-N transmitter (I would not recommend NetGear products to anyone) on top the computer case. Why does that matter? because of the wireless USB receiver for the mouse. Initially I had it plugged into the back of my computer out of the way where it couldn't get accidentally smacked by anything. However that caused severe cursor lag and unresponsiveness. I moved the receiver to the front of my tower and the response improved but still suffered from lag, especially while gaming. I searched all through the Logitech, and other, forums looking for solutions but all I usually ran into were the same complaints with little help offered other then insults hurled at Logitech's poor design. I tried switching mousepads thinking maybe it was the laser not tracking, but once again it had little effect. Finally I ordered a USB extension cable for $[...] off Amazon.com and used it to move the USB receiver to directly in front of the mouse and now I haven't had any problems at all. So like all things wireless the complaints about poor wireless performance come down to the environment, what works well for one person may not work at all for the next.

On the software side there are a few irritating problems. The Logitech "SetPoint" software is a all-in-one driver pack for all their mice and is about a 47MB package, no option to download only the drivers for your mouse. There is also a bug that occasionally occurs for some when you open Microsoft Outlook, or ActiveSync, the active window begins to flash. It seems to occur more frequently if I use the dedicated e-mail button on the mouse itself, but it has also happened when I open Outlook by the usual double clicking. It's extremely irritating as once it starts the only way to stop it is to restart your computer. If you don't, your open window and desktop will flash and interrupt either your typing or close whatever menu you opened by right clicking. Bear in mind it only happens occasionally. Logitech has no fix for this as of yet, nor do I suspect they ever will as it seems to have happened with the last several versions of their "setPoint" software.

Also, the "SetPoint" software does not seem to overwrite the mouse setting in the windows "Control Panels" for speed settings. Even though I had the pointer speed turned up high in the "SetPoint" software the mouse settings in "Control Panels" remained set at medium and it did seem to cause a few odd speed problems with the pointer. I don't recall seeing anyone else mention this, so maybe I'm just really lucky...

Overall I really enjoy the mouse despite the flaws, I have rather long fingers and it's very comfortably set-up. You can click on either side of the mouse from about the middle on up and it activates the button which is great when you're scrolling with the wheel as you can just tilt your finger a little and click either right or left next to the wheel, it cuts down on finger strain a lot especially if you're like me and spend a lot time scrolling through webpages.

It also has an off switch on the bottom. I know that might not sound like a big deal to some, but being able to turn it off when you're not using it, unlike other wireless mice, actually turned out to be a bigger deal for me then I thought it would. I've seen people complain about the "auto-off" feature not working like they thought it would, but how hard is it to turn the mouse over and hold a button for two seconds?

The last mouse I had was a Microsoft IntelliMouse 2.0 It was a good mouse, but the shape of the MX610 is far more comfortable and now that I seem to have gotten the tracking problems, despite my initial misgivings, I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon.

[...]

Customer Review: Too Much Trouble

I purchased the MX 610 Logitech mouse just under 2 years ago. The original device lasted about 9 months and was replaced by Logitech. It had serious functionality issues, i.e., cursor jumping all over the screen, the downloaded software continually resetting itself to defaults that I neither wanted nor expected, programmable buttons working only part of the time. I thought these problems were due to receiving a lemon, but after getting the replacement and within a shorter time, the new one started acting the same way. Anyone who likes to play games will understand how infuriating it can be when you can't get the cursor to a certain point, or when dropping and dragging items like photos you need to pick the mouse up and move it because you've run out of desk space to move it far enough. This mouse replaced a Logitech Optical corded mouse that I loved, except for the cord. I just ordered a new Logitech Optical wireless mouse, and hopefully that will be better than this Laser version that I have absolutely no faith in. Also, getting a Laser cordless mouse requires stock in a battery company as this one ate them up pretty quickly

How to Make your Online Advertising Business Produce Money on Internet Marketing

Tue, 29 Apr 2008 05:20:17 -0700
The success or failure of your Internet marketing business depends largely on the Internet users. If they are interested on the products and services that you are offering for sale, definitely you can expect hundreds to thousands of dollars in revenues from your online business. On the other hand, if they are just too lazy to hear what you want to say and what you are offering, better shut down your personal computer unit and find some other ways of earning money. Network Marketing Opportunities- The Top 7 Things to Find Out and Ask about in an MLM Company

Do you know what the questions are that you should be asking about in an MLM Company and opportunity? If not, you NEED to read this article!

Do you know what the questions are that you should be asking about in an MLM Company and opportunity? If not, you NEED to read this article!

So, you have decided to jump into the Network Marketing Industry, and join a reputable company. Great Move! It will open up doors in your life that you never knew existed, and the personal development you will experience will be amazing.

But you may be thinking- what do I look for? What should I be asking? What should I be trying to find out?

The first thing you need to do, is ask yourself a question. "What type of product would I like to market? A tangible product, like vitamins or skin care? Or would I like a more intangible product like internet malls or legal services?" Once you decide that, you can have a direction to look towards and decide on.

Then you can start looking at MLM companies and doing some research. Research is KEY to finding out about Network Marketing Companies and what they have to offer. Start looking and researching on the internet, and also call your Better Business Bureau, and see if there have been any complaints about that company.

The questions you should be asking are these:

    1) How long has the company been doing business?

Many start up companies will not be around next year. Most MLM companies after three years are gone. If you are looking at a start up company, make sure they are well funded, and have good management to get it through the rough spots typical of MLM start ups. As a general rule, 3 years in business should be a minimum of considering a company.

    2) What is the reputation of the owners and management?

Many great companies that could have been superstar companies are no longer around because of the decisions the owners made. This is true of real estate companies, mortgage companies, and any other entreprenurial ventures. Check the owners out. Ask questions, and do some research on them as well. What kind of reputation do they REALLY have? You will be glad you did if they have a past of possible questionable integrity.

    3) Do they pay their checks on time?

Find out if they have missed paying any paychecks. If they have, this is NOT a good sign, and I would suggest to look at another company. This one has some problems you may not want to be a part of in the future.

    4) Are people making money?

How many people are truly making money? Many times, hype can blind the truth. Do some research and find out if it is easy to make money with their pay plan, and if a lot of folks are. If many people are, that is a good sign. If it is a start up, and not many are making a lot of money yet, see what kind of compensation plan they have, and if it is "distributor friendly." If it seems hard to make money with the plan, then you have some thinking to do. It should be easy to make money in MLM.

    5) What kind of market is out there for their products and services?

Here is a litmus test question for products: Would you buy these products outside of Network Marketing? If you would, you have a good product possibility, and probably a great market for it. If you would not, then you need to see what the true size of the marketplace is for the line of products. And, also, how many other like products are already out in the marketplace? Make sure that the market for the products is big, and available for you to market.

    6) What kind of training and tools do they have?

Do their tools look professional? Does the website look like a professional website? Do their brochures, cds, and videos look and sound professional? If you are going to market products using these tools, make sure that they are of the quality that you can be proud of, and readily hand out. What kind training materials do they have? When are the trainings? Do they hold training events? Are there training conference calls and webcasts? Make sure you will have a training path to walk when you join a Network Marketing company.

    7) Can you talk to some of the successful folks in the company?

You can tell a lot when looking at MLM companies, by talking to some folks who are successful. Do they try and hype you or honestly interested in your questions? Do they talk about themselves and all they have accomplished or what you can accomplish? Do they answer your questions, or dance around them? This will tell you a lot about what kind of people this MLM company attracts, and what kind of culture that it has in the distributor field. Talk to at least three to five people. That will give you some feel for the company.

These are some of the things you need to consider when looking at Network Marketing companies. Do your homework, and don't make a totally emotional decision. Do your research.

Here is a million dollar question:

What does your gut tell you about an MLM company? Listen to it. It is usually right, and probably is right on about what you are considering for a Network Marketing opportunity.

    blessings...doug

Customer Review: A life changing experience

If you find yourself stumped with how to improve your website, or don't know where to begin with looking at web statistics, this book has everything. It begins with going through the foundation of what web analysis really is and definitions and explanations of different metrics and how they can be useful. He then goes into detail with different metrics such as bounce rate, segmentation, and some things you probably never considered. It steps you through knowing what analytics tool to use and how to implement it. It has wonderful examples and sample reports that you can tailor to your own company.

This book is very actionable. I can only speak from a beginner's perspective, but this book is easy to follow and has golden nuggets that even experienced web statisticians can take another look at. The highest recommendation possible from me. I will be waiting for another of Avinash's books.

Customer Review: If you want to learn about web analytics, start here

I have read several web analytics books and Avinash's book is definitely the one I would recommend first.

What you can learn from the book:

    - how to think about and how to approach web analytics -- this is where this book excels

    - how to deliver actionable results - the mantra of Avinash

    - how to start with the basic metrics

What not to expect from this book:

    - you will not learn how to use any analytics software

    - you will not learn details about the technical aspects, frequent problems with data and measurement, what to avoid etc.

Check out Avinash's blog to get a picture of what you can get from the book.

This really and truly is the easiest (and most profitable) small business direct marketing tip youll ever get.
And when I say easy I really mean EASY.

    Its a no-brainer.

Once I tell you what it is youre probably going to say, Oh that? I already knew that.

But if you own a small business and are doing this I can tell you right now youre an exception. If this is such an easy and profitable small business direct marketing tip why isnt everyone using it?

Thats a good question. I dont know. Maybe most small business owners think its too much of a hassle?

    Not so.

It doesnt take much time. Costs little. You could even pay a high school geek to do the computer stuff for you if you dont feel like messing with it.

The financial rewards can be huge... if you do it right. But this seems to be a small business direct marketing tip most people are happy to ignore.

    So whats the big tip?

    Simple.

Every time you do business with a new customer ask them if theyd like to sign up for your free e-mail alert. Tell them you periodically offer specials and discounts for customers and ask them if theyd like to be included on your list so they can know when you have them. Many customers will gladly sign up.

    Then use your list.

    Offer your customers something

    specific
    limited
and of value to them as well as yourself.

Lets pretend... just for discussions sake... youre the owner of Little Town Diner in Smallville.

Youd place a little E-mail address sign-up book right next to the cash register. Include spaces on each page for customers to write-in both their name and a Email address. Have the cashier invite customers to sign it.

Build up your list of names. Its valuable.

Suppose every Wednesday is a slow day at the diner. On Wednesday mornings you start sending out an Email like this one to your list.

    Hi (Customers Name),

Pat here from the Little Town Diner. Howd you like for me to do the cooking tonight? I just got a HUGE shipment of chicken breasts in today and Ive got to move these babies out!

So Im running a SPECIAL today

Pats 2 for 1 Special (today only- - eat in or take out)

2 juicy, tender barbecued chicken breasts... 2 baked potatoes or French fries on the side... 2 servings of string beans or cole slaw...AND...2 slices from any of our delicious pies-of-the-day (your choice).

Dont want to eat out? No problem.

We can have your dinner packaged and ready for you to pick up at your convenience if you place your order before 3pm. Let us know about what time youll be in for your pick-up.

    **********

Or heres another way you could apply this small business direct marketing tip

    **********

    Hi (Customers Name),

Pat here. I want to say, thank you for making Little Town Diner a part of your dining experience. Serving folks like you is what makes our business so enjoyable.

To formally say, thanks Id like to offer you a special discount this week. If you visit us between now and Sunday tell your waitress you want the Thank You Discount. You and your family can order anything on our menu and get 20% off.

Now remember - - you have to ask for the discount to get it. This offer is just our way of saying, thanks for choosing us to serve you.

    Thanks Again,
    Pat

    **********

Theres no limit to how you can use this.

If youre a tree trimmer you could use this small business marketing tip too.

Lets pretend you drop off some of the wood from your tree cutting business to someone who makes mulch. This person tells you one day, Ive got a LOT of excess mulch here Id like to get rid of for cheap. Do you know anyone who might want some?

    So you e-mail your list

    **********

    Hi (Customers Name),

Fred here from Smallville Tree Trimming Service.

Ive got a friend who has a lot of mulch. They practically want to give it away. You can have as much as you want for $xxx per yard. Every yard of mulch covers xxx square feet.

If youd like some call 800-555-5555 and place your order. Itll probably go quickly at this price so call and reserve yours now.

Ill even drop it off at your home to save you the hassle of having to pick it up.

    Sincerely,
    Fred

You then split the profits with your friend who is in the wood mulch business. The people on your list know you. They trust you. Youve done work for them before. Theyre more likely to buy from you than from anyone else.

Many on your list arent going to be interested in mulch. Some of them will... and theyll be glad you contacted them with a great deal to help them out.

This small business direct marketing tip applies to ALL types of small businesses.

Get your message out. The people most likely to buy from you are waiting to hear from you. You can contact them for next to nothing. Anytime you want.

    A League of Ordinary Gentlemen

    A League of Ordinary Gentlemen
Though never a sport of Kings at one point in time bowling occupied a perfectly respectable place in the pantheon of American sports. It has long been one of the most popular participatory sports in America. When Eddie Elias convinced the country's top 33 bowlers to kick fifty bucks into a communal pot in a banquet hall in Syracuse NY in 1958 the Professional Bowlers Association was born. ABC began televising PBA tournaments in 1962 and as the lead in Wide World of Sports Chris Schenkel's Saturday afternoon bowling telecast was for many years one of the highest rated sports programs on television. Then something happened: America ceased to embrace the portly middle-brow image the PBA was selling and bowling got kicked to the curb. The sport and its players many of whom grew up idolizing the sepia-toned gods of bowling's golden era found themselves wallowingin the backwaters of the popular imagination alongside rodeos and tractor pulls. In 2000 three former Microsoft executives scooped up the entire apparatus of professional bowling -- its players tournaments trademarks and trophies all for about five million dollars and assumption of the league's debt. Their stated goal was to save bowling from the brink of extinction and raise it to new heights or at least put it on par with the Bass Masters tour which at current market values would represent a tidy return on equity. The heavy lifting for this mission falls onto the broad shoulders of a man named Steve Miller a former top Nike executive who had played for the Detroit Lions and rescued Kansas State football from the NCAA cellar. The film focuses on Miller and four of his charges professional bowlers at very different places in their careers and their sometimes funny sometimes sad adventures on tour as professional athletes - albeit the Rodney Dangerfields of professional sports.System Requirements:Running Time: 93 MinFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: DOCUMENTARIES/MISC. Customer Review: Brings back a lot of memories

Wow this really brings back memories of my past, can remember when on Saturday afternoons came around, we all went to the TV and watched Pro Bowlers Tour on ABC, and great to see someone try to bring back the times of the bowlers who give their all to not only make money for them and their family but also the ones who didn't know how to handle the money they did make during that time, only thing I wish now is the the present PBA would do is show the winnings for each week now, and try to get bowling back where is should be.

Customer Review: Insight into the lives of a pro bowler

Be warned, I like watching bowling. As someone who used to bowled but could never break into the 200 average class, I am fascinated to watch the pros in action.

This tells the story of how a marketing guru tries to recreate the pba tour together with sponsorship and television coverage. There are no punches pulled when it comes to the difficulties of resurrecting a sport that has fallen on bad times. And it is interesting to see how, from a business angle, they went about doing this.

But the best part of this dvd is the insight into the lives of a few pro bowlers who were very frank about their lives and about their hopes and thoughts about the new venture. At the end of the dvd there is some interplay between two rivals (Walter Ray Williams Jnr and Peter Weber) and a showdown on the lanes to provide a fitting end to the film, but it is also fascinating to see into their lives, how they live, how their families cope or in most cases do not cope with their spouses on tour most of the time.

There are some good clips of past experts - not enough for my liking - but better than nothing.

I miss the old tournaments like the Firestone of Champions and I am not sure that the current pba has got the formula right to make the sport attractive to sponsors and advertisers. But if you like bowling and like to watch the pros in action and also want to see how it feels to be a pro bowler away from the limelight and the final day, then get this dvd; some very human stories here. One bowler describes how from a very young age he decided to make his living at bowling and how bowling seemed to be a permanent fixture in the sports arena. Now he feels cheated as this 'permanent' fixture has disappeared and his life to date seems completely wasted. A familiar story, not only in sport, but one told here with some honesty and openness.

Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking

Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking
Blink is about the first two seconds of looking--the decisive glance that knows in an instant. Gladwell, the best-selling author of The Tipping Point, campaigns for snap judgments and mind reading with a gift for translating research into splendid storytelling. Building his case with scenes from a marriage, heart attack triage, speed dating, choking on the golf course, selling cars, and military maneuvers, he persuades readers to think small and focus on the meaning of "thin slices" of behavior. The key is to rely on our "adaptive unconscious"--a 24/7 mental valet--that provides us with instant and sophisticated information to warn of danger, read a stranger, or react to a new idea. Gladwell includes caveats about leaping to conclusions: marketers can manipulate our first impressions, high arousal moments make us "mind blind," focusing on the wrong cue leaves us vulnerable to "the Warren Harding Effect" (i.e., voting for a handsome but hapless president). In a provocative chapter that exposes the "dark side of blink," he illuminates the failure of rapid cognition in the tragic stakeout and murder of Amadou Diallo in the Bronx. He underlines studies about autism, facial reading and cardio uptick to urge training that enhances high-stakes decision-making.In this brilliant, cage-rattling book, one can only wish for a thicker slice of Gladwell's ideas about what Blink Camp might look like.--Barbara Mackoff

    Customer Review: better than expected...

This book was recommended to me by my father because he had heard good things about this book. I decided to give it a read since he bought the book for me. I thought it was very informative and interesting. Although i didn't much care for the over-kill of real-life examples, I thought that some of them were quite good (because they were simple and to the point).

I found this book to be educational and humorous. I would recommend it.

    Customer Review: Thinking Without Thinking

Blink! The Power of Thinking Without Thinking is an amazing book that enters the realm of the unconscious, and open intellectual and analytical doors that we as humans keep locked.

How Do You Score on the Internetmarketing EQ Test?

How do you score on the Intermarketing Emotional Intelligence test? Are you marketing APPROPRIATELY to who's REALLY on the Internet? EQ means, among other things, good reality-testing and empathy.

Remember that email rounding the Internet recently: "If we could shrink the Earth's population to a village of 100 people, this is what it would look like: There would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 North and South Americans, and 8 Africans...."

NOW SHRINK THE US INTERNET WORLD

Okay, now let's shrink the Internet world and take a look:

*If 100 people were using the Internet, 52 of them would be women, and 48 of them would be men. *If 100 women were doing business, 61 of them would be doing it on the Internet and 39 would not be *f 100 men were doing business, 55 would be doing it on the Internet and 45 would not be. *If 100 women were spending over US$100 in a 3-month period online, 63 of them would not have children, while only 52 of them would

    TAKE NOTICE:

    1. There are more women now on the Internet than men.
    2. More women do business online than men
    3. More women do business online than do not
    4. Women in American make up to 80% of purchasing decisions for the family 5. Women between the ages of 35 and 44 are a dominant e-retail force. (PC Date-Online's research) 6. Women without children are heavier users of the Internet than women with children (Jupiter Media Metrix) and they spend more online.

**********And -- the number of at-home female Internet users is increasing more rapidly than the number of male users (NielsenNetRatings)

**********PLUS -- Individuals with household incomes ranging from $100-$150,000 are the fastest growing income group online (NNR).

**********PLUS -- 44% of US adults over 18 are single, and the AASP projects by 2010, 47.2% will be unmarried. Between the ages of 15 and 85, the average American will be unmarried more years than they're married(USCB).

    SO WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Interpeting these data is like "if all the wookies are mejums, and half the mejums are kondites, how many wookies are kondites?"

    GET POSITIONED

Here's how I read it - I'm lucky because most people who seek coaching are women over 40 with an income of 6 figures. It's called "being well-positioned". However, were I a Relationship Coach, I might be slightly better positioned.

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT ME, WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Whatever you're selling, are you pitching it to women?
Whatever your business, have you included products for women?

This doesn't mean being unsubtle, i.e., slapping a "feminine" graphic next to your power tool, but it does mean if you're pitching your power tool with a bikini-clad babe, or showing a pert young thing for your "live chat", or alienating the huge singles' and Islamic markets in your Christmas marketing, D+ for you on your marketing emotional intelligence test.

Consider putting the face of a virile young man on your chat graphic.

And consider that nearly half your consumers are single -- the Carnival cruise line offers a true singles-rate (not a single rate based on double occupancy), and the Costa gets kudos for providing Gentleman Dance Hosts. Combining both might win my cruise business and I cruise often.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Put your dip stick in your gender-bias and see how it comes out

    "US" INTERNET?

Notice I specified "US" here, because the statistics were about US users. However, I'm getting increasing hits on my site from folks outside the US (and glad to have them). Other webmasters are reporting the same.

This month so far, I've had visitors from: UK, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, Singapore, Argentina, New Zealand, Japan, Luxembourg, Brazil, Belgium, Slovak Republic, South Africa, Germany, France, Namibia, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Cyprus, and Switzerland.

BUT even when we talk "US" Internet users, there are 80 million multicultural Americans in the US, with over 1 million new immigrants yearly.

    TRENDS

In coaching, web visits and ezine subscribers precede personal emails precede Internet course learners, clients and licensors for my EQ products. Look at the trends:

Last year I started getting more emails from Canada, the UK and Australia. Now 1/4th of my practice is from those countries. BR This year I'm getting several emails a day from people whose first language is not English. This month alone from Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and the Philippines.BR

I have ezine subscribers from more countries than I can name. In fact I didn't know some of them were countries. It's been a wake-up call. I'm doing my homework, are you?

And most surprisingly, a whopping 20% of the learners taking my Internet courses are from non-US countries including France, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Russia and Indonesia.

TamingTheBeast says users from India are coming on strong. "Up until now," they say, "the Internet has been very focused on the US ...[but] by 2003, the Asia Pacific region will catch up and overtake in regards to Internet usage."

Richard Goosey, international chief of measurement science (NNR), says Spains the next great Internet market. "In addition to the largest increase in percent of population with Internet access, Spain also had the biggest percentage increase in most of the Internet activities undertaken among surfers in the past six monthsSpain now has the highest rate of instant message usage (49 percent) and chat room participation (44 percent) across all countries."

    APPLICATIONS?

Perhaps we should consider putting ni hao, guten tag, or buna ziua on our websites. Go here: http://www.ipl.org/div/kidspace/hello for ways to say "hello" in one of the 2,796 languages on this planet.

Start with Michael Lee's "Opening Doors" ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1886939322/susandunnmome-20 ), full of tips like don't confuse Indians and Pakistanis because they've been at war for centuries. Put the name of a professional translator in your Outlook Express. In Spanish you don't say "I love my clients" by using the "love" verb, that's erotic; you say "my clients please me."

Stop looking for "Article Archives" and start looking for "Free Ideas." It's all the go. But no advertorials, please.

Customer Review: Yankee fan nirvana. Very good, and still plenty left over for a second volume

Being a huge Yankees fan, I love this set. The games bring back great memories and will be a treasured keepsake in my home forever. What keeps it from being five stars is the video quality for the Padres game is erratic, and the stats shown on the back for the 1999 Braves game differ. For the pitcher stats, it states Jason Grimsley didn't walk anyone when in reality, he walked two batters. Those flaws certainly don't prevent me from recommending this to all Yankees fans. It would be great if MLB Productions and A&E came out with a second volume of Yankees World Series games from 1996-2001. There are more than enough to choose from.

Customer Review: What only 7 discs?????

Make some room on your DVD shelf next to your Yankeeographys because MLB Productions have a hit on their hands. They answered the 2004 Boston Red Sox box set with a Yankee compilation that was second to none.

While the Red Sox set included only the 2004 World Series the Yankees collection includes some of the greatest World Series Games of the Joe Torre Era. The Red Sox set is guaranteed to last 86 years so it should keep the Sox fans happy for a long time. This set includes five complete World Series Games, all of which are Yankee victories of course. And if that wasn't enough, in addition to the complete games there are two bonus disks.

As exciting as the complete games are, unfortunately it doesn't include John Sterling and Michael Kay like the YES Network Yankee Classics do. It does include the original national broadcasts, which has commentators that feature Bob Costas, Joe Buck, Tim McCarver and Joe Morgan. The picture couldn't be sharper and it does seem to be a full featured DVD as opposed to some past releases.

The full games included 1996 Game 4 which features Jimmy Leyritz leading the Yanks back from a 6-0 deficit to a 8-6 extra inning triumph that tied the series at 2 all. The next game is another come from behind victory. The third game of the 1998 series features the Bombers beating San Diego ace reliever Trevor Hoffman.

The third complete game is another game three, this one again against the Braves that features a walk off homer by Chad Curtis. Mariano Rivera took a win this time around instead of his usual save. The forth complete game DVD is a Game 5 series ender against the Mets in 2000, the first Subway Series since 1956. The Yankees won it in the top of the ninth on a single by super sub Louie Sojo. Mike Stanton got the win in relief of Andy Pettitte. The loss went to former Yankee farmhand Al Leiter.

The final complete game while a Yankee victory is unusual in the fact that the Yankees lost this series to the Arizona Diamondbacks. What made this game unique was that this was the 911-year and due to the suspension of baseball that year at midnight of that game it became November. It was the first baseball game played in November. And Derek Jeter homered in the bottom of the tenth thus becoming the first "Mr. November".

The two Bonus DVDs are worth the price of admission on their own. They include all the MLB World Series videos plus a plethora of bonus footage that includes Roger "Rocket" Clemens 2000 ALSC game 4 masterpiece. Other inclusions are highlights from Gooden's No Hitter, David Cone's and David Well's Perfect Games, Jeter's ALDS series saving flip, and many other highlights by names like David Justice, Jim Leyritz, and Paul O'Neill. There is abundance of behind the scenes footage that includes locker room, interviews and press conferences and much, much more.

The packaging is a Trivia Buffs delight as it is full of boxscores, highlights and facts. It will jar your memory reading the cases alone.

These disks are a must have for Yankee fans. As soon as I posted the banners I saw many of you pre order these fine DVDs. So what are the rest of you waiting for?

    3 Sure-Fire Marketing Ideas!

    by Larry Dotson

    PEOPLE IGNORE ADS

    1) Swap endorsement advertisements with other
web sites. Endorsement ads usually pull more sales
and traffic than regular advertisements. People have
taught themselves to ignore advertisements because
they see hundreds of them every day. Endorsements
usually don't look or sound like normal ads.

    SUPPORT YOUR PRODUCT

    2) Use pictures or graphics on your web site that
support the product you're selling. They could give
your visitors a clearer vision of your product, the
benefits of the product, people's emotion when they
own the product, etc. You could also use before
    and after pictures.

    PERCEIVED VALUE SELLS

    3) Increase the perceived value of your product to
skyrocket your sales. Add on free bonuses, after-
sale services or an affiliate program. Other factors
that would help are: your own domain name, a
professional web design, a good-looking product
    graphic and persuasive ad copy.

Lewis Black - Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues

Lewis Black - Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues
As "America's Foremost Commentator On Everything", Black is a weekly political commentator on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart", and has starred in four top-rated comedy specials for the network. He's one of the nation's top stand-up comics and has done numerous films and television appearances. Recently, he's been touring constantly to packed theaters on his "Rules Of Enragement" tour, having finished a series of dates with Dave Attell and Mitch Hedberg. This CD catches him live at the Luther Burbank PAC.

Customer Review: Lewis Black-Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues

I actually didn't buy the CD for me but for a gift for my dad who loves Lewis Black. I really like him also. I have asked him how the CD was and he said it was good. He didn't say it was really good but good seems to be a pretty good review in my opinion. Also in my opinion I don't think there is anything that Lewis Black does that could be bad.

Customer Review: The Good News -- this is almost completely new material and has not been duplicated much on his other CDs and DVDs.

I own all of Lewis Black's DVDs and CDs, and I am also a big fan of his material on The Daily Show. That said, this is definitely his best CD that he's done.

First, I will have to rebut some of the reviews here -- this is not recycled material. Yes, there are a couple of Superbowl jokes that were reused from The End of the Universe and his 2002 Comedy Central Presents special, and yes, his "civics book" joke was reused from Rules of Enragement. However, those jokes have actually been far more refined in this CD.

Also, the first 8 tracks (with the exception of Gay Marriage) deal with the Superbowl Halftime 2004, and nowhere will you find any of this on any of his other CDs or DVDs. The thing with his other CDs is that if you have all h is material, you'll see it all recycled. The White Album is like his 1998 and 2000 Comedy Central specials. The End of the Universe is like his 2002 special. Rules of Enragement is like Black on Broadway, and Carnegie Hall is like Red White and Screwed. You'll find a lot of new material on all of this, yes, but a significant chunk of the pairs I put up have similar jokes in each. Not so with Luther Burbank. This is the only CD of his that I laughed the whole way through, since I rarely ever stopped and thought, "Wait, I've heard this before." If you've seen all he's done on TV, you will barely recognize any of the material on here. That includes his "Iraq, An Idiots Delight" portion. On Rules of Enragement, he talks about it for a good amount of time. On this, he has about 17 minutes dedicated to it, and besides his "civics book" joke, you'll never hear any of this anywhere else. Funny stuff. Wait until he rips on Rumsfeld!

That said, his jokes are hysterical. Wait until you see his rant on gay marriage and Bush's proposed constitutional amendment. When he talks about the Constitution after that, you are going to roll on the ground laughing. While he sometimes, though rarely, misses the mark on some of his other merchandise (the latter half of Red White and Screwed is a good example of this), he never seems to miss a beat here, constantly churning out wit like it was nobody's business.

This is a must-buy. If you are diving into his works and want a CD of his, this should be the first one you get.
